Setting up your Volan sensor is straightforward. Depending on the power option you prefer, you will either have a standard DC plug and lead or an AC-powered version that requires professional installation by a qualified electrician.
Once powered on, connect the sensor to Wi-Fi and assign the sensor a name for future reference.

To optimise data usage and bandwidth, it is recommended to set the active monitoring hours to align with your organisation’s operational hours. By default, Volan sensors are configured to operate from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. If you need to adjust the monitoring schedule to better suit your specific requirements, you can easily do so through the Volan dashboard.
The Volan subscription covers the ongoing costs of maintaining our servers and algorithm infrastructures. These systems are essential for running the sensors, processing the data they collect, and sending out alerts when vaping is detected.
